I work with athletes and coaches to develop the foundational mental skills so athletes can perform when it matters while enjoying the process. Simply put, mental skills training is another tool in your performance tool belt to enhance performance and well-being. This work is for ALL athletes & performers, not just those who are struggling, or those who are at the elite level.
I utilize an approached called Acceptance and Commitment Training which helps you overcome difficult emotions and situations while staying focused on your values. This approach is very well suited for the unpredictable and challenging sport environment.
A study showed that 85% of teams who trained mental skills, improved their performance (Weinberg & Gould, 2019). There is a reason that most professional teams have sport psychology services on staff. My goal is to make this accessible to a broader sport population.
